About Us
Hi,
My name is Andy Maxwell. I am the owner and operator of Maxwell Window Shades.
My grandparents, James and Felicity Maxwell, started Maxwell Window Shades in 1929, on Irving St, in the beautiful Sunset District of San Francisco. My grandmother sewed shades and my grandfather sold them and delivered them by cable car. Years later my father, James H. Maxwell, Jr., took over and continued the work begun by his parents expanding the products we offer while continuing to provide the individual service only a family owned business can provide.
Ten years ago we moved to Judah Street and I became the proud owner of Maxwell Window Shades continuing in the tradition of offering personal service and quality products to San Francisco residents, business owners, managers and interior design professionals.
Our long list of satisfied customers reads like the who's who of San Francisco. Give us a call and expect the same courtesy, service, and excellent product we have been delivering for over 90 years.
